Join us for the 2024 Dairyland Chapter I-Day event!  Come spend a half-day with other insurance industry professionals and learn about the latest trends and hot topics from industry leading speakers, network with fellow professionals, and recognize our new CPCU designees!  
 

This year’s event will include guest speakers to talk about CPCU Society (Brett Clausen) and Artificial Intelligence (Stephen Dziatkiewicz).  
 
Brett Clausen is the immediate past president of the CPCU Leadership Council.  Brett is the Government Relations and Process Improvement Vice President at Farm Bureau Financial Services.  Brett started in 1990 and has held various leadership positions in claims, operations, and underwriting. In his present capacity, Clausen coordinates the organization’s government relations function, leads the organization’s process improvement efforts, and provides expertise to the leadership development area.  Brett Clausen is a graduate of University of Nebraska and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Master’s degree in Insurance Management through Boston University.  Clausen is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, serves as Immediate Past President and Chair of the global CPCU Society, on the Nominating Committee, and serves on several advisory committees for insurance related companies and organizations. Brett will be joining us to confer the designees and speak on behalf of the Society about current initiatives, the value of the CPCU designation and also volunteering for the Society.
 
Stephen Dziatkiewicz is the General Manager – Strategic Analytics at Acuity.  Stephen manages Acuity’s Strategic Analytics Department, which is Acuity’s in-house advanced analytics, data science, and business intelligence reporting team. Stephen is tasked with ideating, developing, and executing on the production of advanced analytics products and reporting solutions geared towards constructing the means to extract business-focused insights from data and is a member of Acuity’s Artificial Intelligence Governance Council.  He graduated from Concordia University of Wisconsin with a degree in Finance. He has almost two decades of experience developing, and leading advanced analytic solutions and analytics focused teams within the financial services industry, including banking, health insurance, and property & casualty insurance. Stephen will be discussing what is Artificial Intelligence, it’s history, Generative AI, how organizations use AI (including the insurance industry), and the pitfalls of Artificial Intelligence.
